The annual Central Oregon Earth Day Celebration plays a
vital role in strengthening the bond in our community. The Earth Day Fair and
the Procession of the Species Parade engage all people in a celebration of that
which we hold dear, our natural environment.
The Central Oregon Earth Day Celebration
is one of Central Oregon's longest running events. Our
longevity is a reflection of the community's passion for
this event.
The Earth Day Fair hosts more than
100 vendor booths filled with
educational information, green products, and services
that lend themselves to a healthy, sustainable
environment. A plethora of interactive children's
activities, live music, and the green building expo draw
thousands of people every year.
The Procession of the Species Parade
brings out Central Oregon's creative side. Both children
and adults are welcome to free pre-procession workshops
where local artists help with the creation of parade
costumes and musical instruments. Host a workshop for
your business or simply sponsor a school workshop. The
Procession is a hallmark of Bend
culture.
The Earth Day Fair and Procession of the
Species Parade raise crucial funds for the Central
Oregon Environmental Center.
The mission of the Central
Oregon Environmental Center is to
build a culture of environmental stewardship in Central
Oregon.
